Since launching our Book Blast program three years ago, we have distributed over 4 million books to schools nationwide. Our carefully curated selection ensures each book is entertaining, educational, and inspiring. With the help of our team of experts, including librarians and educators, we choose books that feature engaging and interactive stories, beautiful illustrations, and positive messages. These captivating books encourage young readers to read more. 

The Initial Review: Setting High Standards

Our selection process starts with an initial review. Each book is carefully examined by our dedicated team of experts, who collectively have over 80 years of experience publishing and working with publishers “worldwide.” This review ensures that each book aligns with our core values and standards, focusing on age-appropriateness and content quality.

We believe that setting high standards from the beginning is important. This step helps us filter out any books that don’t meet our expectations, ensuring that only the best books proceed to the next stages of our vetting process.

Expert Panel Insights: Combining Expertise and Passion

After the initial review, the book is evaluated by our expert panel, which is rotated every year. This panel includes librarians, reading interventionists, and publishers, bringing together a wealth of knowledge and passion for children’s literature.

The panel assesses each book’s educational value, engagement level, fun factor, and suitability for our audience. Their collective insights help us ensure that every book not only captivates young readers but also contributes positively to their developmental journey.

Content Analysis: Ensuring Quality and Engagement

Content is king when it comes to children’s books, and our content analysis phase is rigorous. We delve into the book’s themes, language, and illustrations to ensure they are appropriate and beneficial for our readers.

Based on this feedback, we may make custom adjustments to better fit our readers’ needs. This can include redesigning covers, adding supplementary materials, or even editing content for clarity and engagement. Our goal is to fine-tune each book to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and appeal.
