We use this website to collect contributions to buy books for students. This is done through parents/guardians entering email addresses and text number of friends and family, which are then used to request contributions for books for their children. Your privacy is important to us. When you submit information, we collect and use it solely for communication purposes regarding our book drive program. By submitting any information to us, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

Section 1 – Collection and use of your data

When you register and create an account on our website, we collect the personal information you provide to us in connection therewith, such as your name and email address, as well as your child’s name. This information is used to create your account so you may log in, add your child’s name, invite friends and family, and monitor contribution progress. We may collect additional information when you use or interact with our website, such as any information you provide in connection with contribution requests and thank you letters that get sent to contributors, as well as information you submit concerning your child/student.

We collect and use personal data for the following: (i) to provide, administer, deliver, and support the book drive program; (ii) complete your contribution requests; (iii) create and manage your online accounts; (iv) respond to your requests and other communications from you; and (v) comply with any of our legal obligations.

We do not sell any of your data. We do not share any of your data with third parties unless legally required to do so or to protect the rights of us and/or our users, as expressly set forth in Section 4 of this Privacy Policy.

How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to create an online account, manage your online account, and/or manage your contribution information and preferences, you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing messages, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

Book Blast customer service representatives and developers will have access to the personal data you provide as necessary to perform their duties. Your child/student’s school will also have access to the personal data you provide concerning yourself and your child/student.
