Eligibility
This Book Blast Fall Fun 2026 Promotion Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to teachers, school sponsors, and the parents and legal guardians of students, who are residents of the United States, and who are participating in a school event known as a Book Blast hosted by a school (“Eligible Event/s”). Participants in Book Blast events hosted by childcare centers, preschools, or other early learning programs are not eligible. Teachers, sponsors, and parents or legal guardians entering on behalf of a student must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Void outside the USA, in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and other United States territories and possessions. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.

Sponsorship
The Sweepstakes sponsor is Books Are Fun, Inc. (“Sponsor”), located at 357 McCaslin Blvd, Suite 200, Louisville, CO 80027, United States. Sponsor and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees, and any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, the immediate family members of such individuals, are not eligible to participate. Sponsor will conduct the Sweepstakes substantially as described in these Official Rules.

Entry Period
This Sweepstakes applies only to Eligible Events that kick off (launch) on or after November 2, 2026 and on or before December 4, 2026. To be eligible, the applicable goal described in “How to Enter” below must be met no later than December 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time (“Entry Period”). Treasure map completion and goal attainment will be measured by Sponsor’s Book Blast platform as of the end of the Entry Period, and Sponsor’s records are final.

How to Enter
During the Entry Period, entries are earned automatically based on participation in an Eligible Event, in three (3) separate categories. (1) Teacher Category: each classroom that reaches at least forty percent (40%) treasure map completion earns its teacher one (1) entry. A teacher remains eligible even if the teacher’s school as a whole does not reach the 40% goal. (2) Sponsor Category: each school that reaches at least forty percent (40%) treasure map completion earns the school’s Book Blast sponsor (the school’s designated Book Blast coordinator) one (1) entry. (3) Family Category: each student treasure map that is fully completed earns one (1) entry for that student’s family. Entries in the Family Category are deemed submitted by, and any prize will be awarded to, the student’s parent or legal guardian. When registering for a Book Blast, you will be asked to provide basic contact information, including your name, phone number, and email address. (NOTE: You must complete all required fields during registration with information that is valid on the date of the drawing to be eligible).

Limitations on Entries
Entrants may only participate through a Book Blast hosted by a school with which they are affiliated. Limit one (1) entry per classroom in the Teacher Category, one (1) entry per school in the Sponsor Category, and one (1) entry per fully completed student treasure map in the Family Category; a family with more than one participating student may receive one (1) entry for each completed treasure map. An individual who serves as both a teacher and a school sponsor may be entered in both categories. No third-party entry or entry through any sweepstakes service is permitted. Any person who attempts or otherwise encourages the entry of multiple or false registration or treasure map completion information under multiple identities or uses any device or artifice to enter or encourage multiple or false entries, as determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. Use of robotic entry devices is strictly prohibited.

Prizes
Three (3) prizes will be awarded, one (1) in each category: (a) Teacher Prize: one (1) $1,000 Amazon.com gift card to be used for classroom, library, and other school supplies for the winning teacher’s classroom (approximate retail value “ARV” $1,000); (b) Sponsor Prize: one (1) $1,000 Amazon.com gift card to be used for classroom, library, and other school supplies for the winning school (ARV $1,000); (c) Family Prize: one (1) Nintendo Switch 2 console bundled with one (1) additional controller and one or more educational video game titles selected by Sponsor (ARV approximately $700). Selection of the specific console configuration, controller, and game titles is solely within Sponsor’s discretion. Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer, including the Amazon.com Gift Card Terms and Conditions. Amazon.com, Inc. and Nintendo of America Inc. are not sponsors of, and are not affiliated with, this Sweepstakes. The Teacher Prize and Sponsor Prize are awarded in recognition of the classroom’s and school’s participation in the Book Blast and are intended for the benefit of students; at the request of the winner or the winner’s school, Sponsor will issue the gift card directly to the school for the same purpose. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable. All other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are solely the winner’s responsibility. Winner agrees to accept the prize “as is” and entrants hereby acknowledge that Sponsor is not in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee relative to the prize, including warranties provided exclusively by a prize supplier. Additional terms and conditions may apply to gift card, console, or game suppliers for which Sponsor shall not be responsible or liable in any way for any cancellations, losses or damages. All aspects of the prizes are subject to conditions outside of the Sponsor’s control. Sponsor will not be responsible or liable for any fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, communications or equipment failure, utility or service interruptions, riot or civil disturbance, large-scale illness, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared), interference with the Sweepstakes by any party, or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of the Sweepstakes or any element of a prize. The ARV of the Family Prize is an estimate and depends on retail pricing at the time of purchase. Any difference between stated approximate retail value and actual value of a prize will not be awarded. Winner is solely responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes. Winner must provide Sponsor with a valid Social Security number or taxpayer identification number before prize will be awarded. A Form 1099 will be issued to each winner for the actual value of the prize. If a winner does not accept or use the entire prize, the unaccepted or unused part of the prize will be forfeited, and the Sponsor will have no further obligation with respect to that prize or portion of the prize.

Drawing
Winners will be selected in three (3) separate random drawings, one (1) for each category, from among all eligible entries in that category collected during the Entry Period taking place on or about December 18, 2026 at Sponsor’s principal place of business. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor, whose decisions and interpretations on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner and may refuse to award a prize to a person who is not eligible or has violated a rule, gained unfair advantage in the Sweepstakes, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means. If there is a dispute about the identity of an entrant, prize will be awarded to the natural person to whom the email address is assigned by the internet service provider responsible for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with Sweepstakes rules, winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be awarded the prize in a separate random drawing. Each Winner of the Sweepstakes will be notified by telephone and/or email (at the phone number and email address provided by the Winner during registration) by the Sponsor within fourteen (14) days of the random drawing. The Winner shall have up to five (5) business days, from the date Sponsor initially contacts the Winner, to contact the Sponsor and claim the prize. In the event the Winner does not contact the Sponsor within five (5) business days of Sponsor’s initial contact, the Winner may be disqualified and shall not be awarded the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected in a random drawing, all at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Odds
The odds of winning in each category will depend on the number of eligible entries received in that category, according to the eligibility requirements in the Sweepstakes.

WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER WITH OR VANDALIZE ANY SPONSOR-OWNED WEBSITE OR MOBILE APPLICATION OR RELATED SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE, THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE INTERFERE WITH OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (B) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY) NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; AND (C) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND EACH ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION OR THE THEORY OF RECOVERY, EVEN IF THE SPONSOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED.

General Terms
By entering this Sweepstakes, you promise to abide by the Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor, which will be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, disqualify or withdraw any entry at any time. Sponsor will not be responsible for any injury, damage or loss of any kind arising out of your participation in the Sweepstakes. YOU AGREE TO RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS AND ASSIGNS FROM AND AGAINST ANY OR ALL CLAIMS, LOSSES, INJURIES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. Except where prohibited by law, by accepting the prize, the winner grants the Sponsor an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the winner’s name, photograph, voice, and/or likeness without further authorization, compensation, consideration (except for the awarding of the prize) or remuneration of any kind, for advertising, promotion and other publicity purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world. Any use of the name, photograph, voice, or likeness of a student will require the prior written consent of the student’s parent or legal guardian. You may be required to sign a document confirming your consent to this effect.
